Disco Stu Likes Disco Music

Stu Weinberg is a Toronto based guitarist whose playing can be heard on radio stations across Canada. Born and raised in Toronto, Stu got his start in the industry while working at a Manhattan recording studio during his summers off from university. Currently, Stu spends just as much time in studios as he does on stages, having performed alongside Billboard charting artists and JUNO nominated acts at venues and festivals like Massey Hall and Boots & Hearts. Stu’s tracked on hundreds of tunes, racking up millions of streams and hitting the top 40 on the SiriusXM charts countless times.

Stu’s no stranger to the guitar community as he’s hired to demo gear for numerous boutique guitar companies. He’s spent years honing his tone and exploring new sonic territories with the use of effect pedals.

Disco Stu Likes Disco Music is Stu’s debut release as a solo artist. A culmination of years of experience as a session musician, the instrumental album brings the guitar to the forefront with a style that’s just as much groovy as it is soulful. Each track takes you on a journey, highlighted by virtuoso musicianship that covers everything from mellow, introspective ballads to high energy, psychedelic funk jams.

The album features a who’s who of the jam scene with Andy Hess on bass (Gov't Mule, John Scofield, The Black Crowes), John Morgan Kimock on drums (Phish's Mike Gordon, Steve Kimock, Dead & Co's Oteil Burbridge), Todd Caldwell on keys (Crosby, Stills & Nash), Marco Benevento on keys (Joe Russo's Almost Dead), Robert Walter on keys (Phish's Mike Gordon, The Greyboy Allstars), and Oz Noy on guitar.
